God created us as communal beings. Since we were made in His image we bear His communal nature (3 persons, one God). He desires us to live out our faith in community as well. None of us were created to go it alone, we were created for community. We know that our weekly worship gatherings are like a big family reunion where we get to catch up with our brothers and sisters to see how life has been going as well as get fed together by God’s Word…but we also know that’s not enough. There is so much that goes on in our life that we don’t get to share, and so many questions we have that don’t get answered.

That’s why we offer a number of Community Groups throughout the week. These groups are more intimate gatherings where participants can ask questions as well as build relationships with others. Each gathering focuses on living out our 3-fold ministry philosophy as a ministry here at St. Philip – to connect participants “Up/Spiritual” in their relationship with God through Christ, to connect participants “In/Relational” in their relationship with each other as a community of faith, and to connect participants “Out/Missional” in their relationships with others in our community as the presence of Jesus in our world today.

Each of our Community group meets at different times of the day and different days of the week, so check out our 1) News page to see when the best time would work for you. We meet up in peoples’ homes, coffee shops, or wherever we can find the space to share our lives and study God’s Word together. There are no requirements for joining one of our gatherings…just a curiosity for what following Jesus is all about. If you have questions about what we do, what to bring, or if you are interested in hosting or leading one of our Community Groups then just Contact us. We’d love to hear from you.
